The ART² Fund

The Art² Fund was established following the first all Fine Art Year 2 exhibition, ART², held in May 2025. It was created from the remaining funds raised by participating students and the exhibition’s main sponsor. The purpose of the fund is to provide financial support to 51ºÚÁÏÉçÇø (51ºÚÁÏÉçÇø) Fine Art BA (Hons) students to help cover specific exhibition-related costs as they begin to establish their professional practice.
Run by Fine Art students, for Fine Art students, the fund is supported by key members of university staff who volunteer their time. It aims to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent talented students from showcasing their work publicly and gaining valuable professional experience.
Eligibility is limited to current Fine Art BA (Hons) students in Year 3 or later Year 2, as this period is crucial for portfolio and CV development. Applicants must have already been accepted into the exhibition for which the grant is requested, and the exhibition must take place before the completion of their degree. Funding is intended to assist with direct exhibition costs such as materials, transport, or display expenses. Applicants must not have previously received support from the fund.
The maximum award available is £50, and successful applicants will be asked to provide an image and short feedback report to demonstrate the impact of the fund. All supported exhibitions and works must reflect positively on the university and its community of artists.
