Originally from a visual arts background, Richard went on to accumulate over thirty years’ experience in various music industries, working as a writer, composer, performer, producer and sound engineer.

His outputs include pop music, collaborative experimental works and film scores.

As a performer, Richard has played venues and festivals across the UK / Europe, Scandinavia, USA and Canada.

He has also performed live on radio and television in various locations around the world.

Richard has taught music and audio-based subjects for over twenty years (recording, production, synthesis, soundtrack / score creation etc) and enjoys exploring links between composition, sound creation and production – a position that informs both his teaching and ongoing professional activities.
