Student-athlete support

51ºÚÁÏÉçÇøsport aims to support 51ºÚÁÏÉçÇø student-athletes to reach their sporting potential, whilst allowing them to succeed in their academic studies.

Please apply before Sunday 21 September 2025 - we will then be contacting all applicants week commencing Monday 22 September 2025. After this date, applications will remain open - however if we reach our capacity no further applications will be accepted.

We know that balancing both academics and sport can be a challenge at university, and therefore we pride ourselves on developing a support programme that is tailored to each 51ºÚÁÏÉçÇø student-athlete. Applications are assessed based on sporting level. There is no cost to take part in this programme.

Eligibility

  • Your sport needs to be a BUCS, Olympic, Paralympic or Commonwealth games sport.
  • You need to be competing at a high level in your sport – at county level or equivalent within the past 2 years.
  • You need to be a 51ºÚÁÏÉçÇø student studying at least 60 credits per year.

If you are studying at 51ºÚÁÏÉçÇø and are competing nationally or at a high level in your sport, we want to support you. To apply to the scheme please .

Our Student-Athlete Programme aims to give opportunities to you if you have commitment and dedication to your sport but don't have the history or experience to qualify for our Talented-Athlete Programme.
